The overall objective of the project is to establish a vibrant forum of women leaders within Kosovo to exchange information and experience and to contribute to breaking barriers of mistrust and suspicion of Serb and Albanian communities by directly engaging women from these communities and to enhance their role in creating the conditions necessary for inclusive peace and security. The specific objective of the project is to inform women leaders from the selected municipalities about the Brussels Agreement and EU integration.
Through this project, women leaders from the selected municipalities (Gracanica, Novo Brdo, Strpce and South Mitrovica) will be informed about the Brussels Agreement and EU integration. Through the round table dialogues minority women will better understand how their interests will be protected within a succesful EU Integration and the normalisation proces, thus, they will be willing to further participate in the process.
1. Enhanced understanding of the Brussels Agreement among minority communities in the 4 municipalities in Kosovo, enhanced awareness of the role of women in peace process as well as strengthened multiethnic understanding and cooperation in reaching the EU integration, established links between minority women from different municipalities for continued peace-building.
2. Joint Declaration on the main findings and recommendations from the round table dialogues and Conference drafted and shared through RWL SEE networks to National Governments, the EU, UN and other relevant International Organizations.
3. Continue increasing, intensifying and strengthening the networking and cooperation among women leaders and all relevant stakeholders.
