Description:

By drawing students ages 12 to 18 into the election process, “Kids Voting” is designed to build citizenship, provide renewed focus upon the political process, and to more generally empower the young people of Kosovo, including minority youth from Serbian, Turkish, and Romani communities. The project will advance democratization and build civic participation in Kosovo by engaging young people in reasoned debate and simulated election voting on the candidates and platforms affecting the future of Kosovo’s new governmental institutions.  Following teacher and classroom training, children will participate in a parallel Kids Voting process at actual local polling centers on Kosovo Election Day.
